A Comparison between the 2023 Volvo XC60 B6 and the 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge

The Volvo XC60 is a mid-size luxury SUV that was first introduced in 2007. For 2023, Volvo released two new versions of the XC60, the B5 and the B6, joining the T8 Recharge. For today, we'll focus on both the B6 and Recharge versions of the XC60. Both models come with a variety of new features and upgrades, but there are also some major differences between the two vehicles. Here's a look at the main differences between the 2023 Volvo XC60 B6 and the 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge.

Powertrain

The biggest difference between the two models is under the floor. The XC60 B6 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with an added supercharger for more power. This engine produces 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The XC60 Recharge, on the other hand, is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. It's powered by the same engine as the B6, but it also has a set of electric motors that give it an additional 160 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque for a total output of 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque.

Fuel Economy

Another area where these two vehicles differ is fuel economy. The XC60 B6 has an estimated fuel economy rating of 11.8 L/100 km in the city and 8.7 L/100 km on the highway. The XC60 Recharge, however, has an estimated fuel economy rating of 8.5 L/100 km in the city and 8.5 L/100 km on the highway. The XC60 Recharge gives you more power while still being more fuel efficient.

Pricing

Finally, there's also a difference in price between these two models. The base price for the 2023 Volvo XC60 B6 is $55,000, while the base price for the 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge is $64,950.

So, what's the verdict? Which one of these vehicles is right for you? If you're looking for an SUV with more power and better fuel economy, then you'll want to go with the XC60 Recharge. However, if you're looking for a more affordable option, then you'll want to go with the XC60 B6. Whichever model you choose, you can be sure that you're getting a high-quality SUV from Volvo.
